Artecoll® is made up of natural collagen and up to 25% of very fine synthetic particles. These particles dissolve in the slightly deeper layer of the skin and these fill the creases by building up the skin tissue, similar to an inner scar. Bit by bit the collagen, that is injected at the same time, gets absorbed. In the end the wrinkle has been refilled with autologous tissue. The greatest advantage in this method, compared to conventional materials is, that usually lasting results can be achieved.
